My name is Michael Sagett, I developed CanastaKeeper to assist me in scoring canasta games.  As I have gotten older, I find my math skills have lapsed.  CanastaKeeper assists new players to the game by reminding them of what to include in the BASE & COUNT.  To make the entry of BASE simpler the Penalties are entered separately.  Thus entry of everything is done by scrolling to the amount, and tapping it.  As soon as that is done the score is calculated instantly.

Creating CanastaKeeper to work so easily and effectively on a small smart device was my goal.  I did it to see if it was possible.  Therefore, I am now happy to share it with others.  To do that requires the creation of a website that could get costly.  This website is hosted by Google and is free but it does not allow uploading a webpage created outside of Google.  Thus, a men's group I belong to "The Happy Old Guys" agreed to host the actual CanastaKeeper webpage on their website, which I am very grateful for.   I hope this CanastaKeeper website enables everyone to be able to score easier.
